Summary
What does this car say about you?
Says you like to be different and just one of the hundreds of people who drive a Z4 or a Boxster. Around my way I only saw 1 other 350z 313 Roadster in 18 months of owning it. Thats how rare they are, theres only 250 in the UK so you will be lucky to see another one. I had complete strangers coming up to me saying "nice car".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They were a mixture between people who looked down on you because its a "nissan", and others who were very envious that you had a sports car. In general most people really liked it. Apart from the wife who was scared of getting in it - but that may have been just my driving!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Im not sure if I would again. The running costs are a killer. It cost me £450 a month in fuel, £250 a month in tax/insurance/servicing and a further £500 a month in depreciation.
What are you likely to buy next?
VX220 turbo maybe... not sure.. something cheap and fast. Oh... the 350z Roadster in the picture above... thats my ACTUAL CAR!!!! It was a press car for Nissan.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£16,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not really. Dealer knew how rare these cars were and no matter how much haggling they didnt knock a single penny off the forecourt price. At the time I bought mine there was only 2 others for sale within 100miles of my house, so I didnt have much choice!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted to be different.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly enough, I went back to them a few weeks later for them to check the hood and they were good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Incredible. This was the 309bhp 313 model, which was the quickest they did. Throws you back in your seats in 2nd gear. On the road it was as quick as many cars which should have been faster on paper. The exhaust note, roof down, the handling, the brakes... all awesome. A real fun experience.
What's it like to park?
Nightmare. You can not see the back of the car, so when you first start to reverse this car you end up thinking you are about to hit something when in reality you are a mile from where you think you are!! Takes a lot of practise!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear shock leaked, drive belt shredded, brake pads needed replacing at 40k miles.
What's most practical about your car?
Very little really. Its very reliable, but apart from that its hardly a practical car!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Exhaust note.
