Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I am not a label snob and bought a car for performance. The car in Black Rose is also a real head turner.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it. Even my mother which is quite a shock as I had a Jaguar before and she is a real label snob.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes the new Z models get better and better. Build quality, reliability, costs and the driving experience make it dependable.
What are you likely to buy next?
Maybe another Z or GT-R depends on heart vs head debate in a few years time.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£35,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Fantastic deal and of course they aren't the cheapest car to run but sale volume is low and deals can be had.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It offered something different from the usual BMW, or safe German option. Bullet proof reliability and sensible servicing costs too. Sports pedigree and its a true old school hairy chest beast of a car.
What was the dealer like?
Really good, very helpful, informative, really knew the car and no hard sell either. Some dealers who were really put me off.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Amazing grip and the steering is wonderfully direct. Its so stable at speed no matter what the road throws your way that it gives you amazing confidence. Yes a little noisy at motorway speeds but its part of the experience.
What's it like to park?
Very easy with the neat reversing camera on the GT Edition. The Sat Nav screen shows excellent detail with proximity lines that move with steering angle which is very handy for tight spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No its built superbly.
What's most practical about your car?
Its a pure 2 seater it isn't practical except for getting where you need to go quicker than you'd expect for little effort.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Syncro rev control. The only car that has this to my knowledge. It does heel and toe automatically on down shifts. It sounds fantastic and makes you want to play with the gearbox.
