Summary
What does this car say about you?
I dread to think. Probably that I am pretty dull (true), and that I am old (only true if 24 is old).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most like it, after having a proper look at it/ a ride in it. But none of the people who have passed comment are "cool" people.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Simple reason, I plan to have this car for at least another year, and by that time there will be no more 3 year old almeras to buy, since production stopped in 2006.
What are you likely to buy next?
Certainly Japanese. Nissan, Toyota or Honda. As to size, we'll keep an eye on both the fuel prices and my salary!!!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got it for £4k when other dealers were selling it for a minimum of £4500, and it was in better shape than a lot I had seen. It was like a new car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had a 306 for nearly 2 years. There were so many repairs in the last year, and it was using oil like anything. I needed a reliable car, and this one had the reputation. Plus it was a bargain. And this one was immaculate
What was the dealer like?
Alright. Couldn't haggle with him, as he had done his homework on the price.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great for the town, decent enough out of town. Engine maybe a little slow for the motorway. It's a car you tootle in rather than zoom about in.
What's it like to park?
Hard to tell where the front of the car is. After-market parking sensors are a lifesaver.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The gearbox disintegrated at 55,000 miles. The breakdown guy says he never sees many almeras, my mechanic says i'm just unlucky! Other than that, nothing, not even little niggles! You command, it obeys.
What's most practical about your car?
It gets you from A to B, the boot is an OK size. Had it converted to LPG so cheap as anything to run. Can fit 5 big adults in with little discomfort, but if doing regularly, 5 doors is better.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air conditioning in the summer. The LPG conversion. The CD player.
