What does this car say about you?

Not a lot.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Quite like the passenger space and the comfort inside. Sad to say some idiot took a dislike to it and has scratched a smiley face into the bonnet- luckily not too deep.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No Almera was phased out in 2006 and the two reliability issues have soured my relationship with Nissans.

What are you likely to buy next?

Diesel Skoda or Seat, I've had a diesel Seat before and it was almost bulletproof.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Offered £ 2600 for my Hyundai and local Hyundai/Nissan dealer has a good reputation.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

ECU gave up on last car, leaving me stranded and with a £ 600 bill, so needed a reliable car for work. Also heard Almeras were reliable and economical.

What was the dealer like?

Very professional and very helpful, gave me a bottle of wine when the deal was signed.

What's it like to drive?

Performs quite well, light gearchange, but gets a bit noisy above 70mph.

What's it like to park?

Quite easy, although reverse gear is notchy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Gearbox gave up at 20,000 miles- thank goodness it was under warranty and dealer was very helpful. Also brake discs wore out at 25,000 miles- big bill this time. Otherwise mechanically and electrically solid, but shouldn't have these problems at such a low mileage.

What's most practical about your car?

Decent sized boot, plenty of space for passengers, good stowage space.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The stereo, simple to use and Traffic Alert very good.
