Nissan Almera Hatchback 1.8 E 5d Auto (2002/52) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Cheap to buy compared with equivalent Astra, my previous car.
Costs
Mpg about the same as Astra. Quoted £270 for a service from main local Nissan dealer, so don't think I'll go there when the time comes!! Insurance OK, but expensive to tax as emissions are quite high.

Driving
Nice car to drive, handles well. All essential features logically placed in easy reach.
Performance
Goes like stink compared with previous cars. Overtaking can be a problem with some automatics, but not with this one.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far.
Image
Does it have one? Do Almera owners care?
Comfort
Fine with two people in front, feels a bit cramped with adults in the back. Nice little touches though - separate reading lights for rear passengers.

Security and Service
Security
Standard NATS security. Hasn't been nicked yet.
Service
Hasn't been serviced yet.
