What's it like to drive?

With 215 bhp on tap from the 4 cylinder 1.6 turbocharged engine the performance is very good. Some torque steer under hard acceleration in the first few gears. Engine is very free revving although can sound quite noisy and harsh when pushed. Better sound of the engine at lower revs through the larger diameter exhaust fitted to this model. The car is also quite noisy at motorway cruising speeds and I find myself frequently dropping down to 60 mph on long distant runs to take a break from the booming from the exhaust. The gear ratios are quite close together which adds some fun to driving the car although 3000 revs at 70mph in 6th gear does affect the extra urban economy figures. The ride quality as the ride in the Juke can be quite bouncy.

What's it like to park?

The ride height in the Nissan Juke is higher than the average car. This means visibility is very good. The downside to this is that sometimes parking can be difficult as judging how far away from the kerb can be a bit difficult. Not good when you're trying not to scuff your alloys or knock out your wheel alignment. The rear camera however is very useful when reversing into tight spaces.
