What does this car say about you?

Quirky? Outlandish? I'm honestly not sure.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Its split right down the middle. Some think its god aweful with weird bug eyes, others think its the funkiest thing on the road. I personally enjoy it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

On the lease scheme its the bargain of the century and I would definitly get the Juke again. Sadly, though, I am not taking another lease car after this one and the thought of spending nearly £19,000 on this car with no soft touch materials in the cabin and a very slow Renault sourced dCi engine does not sit well with me in the slightest. As much as I love the car, I wouldn't even entertain the idea of buying one with my own hard-earned cash.

Did you get a good deal and why?

This is an employee lease from Nissan directly, as relatives work for the production plant in Sunderland. Every cost bar the cost of the fuel is covered by a single, sub-£200 monthly charge. Any damage, however, including the smallest barely noticable dents, can cost an absolute fortune on this lease scheme when the car gets returned.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

This is actually a lease car on an 11 month contract. The choice of car was either this, a more expensive Qashqai or a cheaper Nissan Note. After having a Note prior to this, I decided to try my hand at the Juke.

What was the dealer like?

As this is a lease car directly from the company, I myself cannot comment. However my dad owns a 4x4 Nissan Qashqai and the dealer for his car was exceptional when I went with him.

What's it like to drive?

Moving from a Nissan Note to this Juke was quite jarring at first, given its very high seating position in comparison. My car is permenantly in Sport mode and the ride is just to my liking - very solid and relatively flat through the corners but with enough slack to make bumps in the road acceptable. Steering is response with good weighting in Sport mode, but like 99.9% of electrically assisted steering it's lifeless on the straight and isn't very engaging. The diesel is VERY slow at the bottom end. In busy traffic, if I don't give it quite enough gas when preparing to pull away, I'll trundle along with absolutely no accelleration in the middle of the roundabout until I hit around 1800rpm when the Turbo finally kicks in, at which point you're whipped backwards as the car flys.

What's it like to park?

An absolute breeze to park. Its high seating position means you can see the top of the bonnet and its intergrated reversing camera with coloured guide lines make reversing in general a joy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing at all. My mother also has a 1.6L Petrol Nissan Juke Tekna that is just over 2.5 years old. Other than a small crack in the driver's wing mirror from a design fault on the very first models released in 2010, nothing has went wrong.

What's most practical about your car?

Its increadibly high driving position makes me feel more comfortable and secure in heavy traffic. It also allows me to easilly see over the traffic for a more clear view of the road. Practicallity in terms of shopping and boot space, however, it isn't actually that good. You can fit a weeks shopping in the boot and there is enough space for 4 to sit in comfort - but the simple fact is that this car is just way too small to be as practical as a conventional supermini like the Vauxhall Corsa or Kia Rio.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The best accessory is bluetooth connectivity. My phone (Nokia Lumia 920) is exceptionally clear for both music and voice calls. The microphone picks up my voice perfectly, allowing me to use the voice-activation features of the phone without having to constantly repeat myself or yell like a mad-man.
