Nissan Juke SUV (2010 - 2019) 1.6 (94bhp) Visia 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Performance: The engine is a little lacklustre with only 93ps available and the torque figure is also not that impressive, however it is enough to make fuss free progress. On the motorway the engine revs quite high, over 3000rpm at 70mph, this make it feel a bit strained and would be much better with a 6th gear.
Reliability: The only thing I have had to fix is the air conditioning which was completely out of fluid, this was easily fixed with a stop leak / refill / gauge kit for £65, still blowing cold a few weeks later so hopefully thats done the trick. I understand that Nissan is now owned by Renault which is not known for reliability, however as this is a simple car with a simple (non-turbo) engine, it should be reliable enough.
Practicality: The boot is small and the rear seat space is a bit cramped, however it is only a fiesta size car so I suppose it can be forgiven for that.
Ride & handling: The suspension is a bit jittery over imperfections in the road but it’s not uncomfortable. Rolls a bit in the corners due to the high ride height.
Looks: Stylish car, received a few compliments for it.
Economy: Official figure is 47mpg, which is quite low given the performance figures. In the real world it seems to be economical enough but of course it wouldn’t compare with diesel or smaller capacity turbo models.
Cost: My partner has purchased this car from her father who let her have it for trade-in price so it was certainly a good deal.
Overall: Having only owned the car for less than 2 months this is a short term review, however the car has been good so far. This is a second car in our household so it is suitable for how we use it.
