Summary
What does this car say about you?
Says I am environmentally conscious and can afford new tech.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it's great - particularly the relaxed driving/lack of engine noise.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would not buy this car again. The car is fine, but Nissan customer service is awful. Any contact with them to sort out a problem is a battle. It's going to be my first and last Nissan I'm afraid.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another EV - probably from Renault or Ford. I've bought those makes before and had good customer service.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£20,000
When did you buy the car?
May 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was not helpful and didn't sort out problems we had. He told us to contact Nissan UK. Nissan UK told us to contact the dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's relaxed to drive and reasonably well built and kitted out. It's good in town, but on the open road/motorway the battery quickly depletes and range anxiety will set in at anything over 60 miles travel.
What's it like to park?
Reasonably easy to park because you've got a rear camera and folding mirrors.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I ran out of charge on the day I bought it due to the dealer failing to charge it fully. I was not given access to carwings which is still the case now, so I can't see where the charging stations are.
What's most practical about your car?
Not having to go and put petrol in it.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Probably carwings - if only I had access to it.
