Nissan Micra 1.0 Hollywood 3d (1995/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
It was pretty good value when I bought it, but prices are pretty low right now, especially for the 1.0. 1.4 is too expensive, though.
Costs
Parts can be expensive, like £90 for a wing mirror housing which couldn't be repaired.

On the road
Driving
It's a cheap runabout - not much in the way of driver satisfaction or excitement. Rolls quite a bit in fast corners, though.
Performance
It's ok in and around town, but on the motorway it struggles to keep up at anything about 70mph. Not bad for a 1.0, though.

Living with it
Reliability
Been great. Had 1 flat battery and 1 blown fuse in 4 years.
Image
It's cute, but no fashion statement. If you want a head turner, spend more cash and look elsewhere, although the latest model improves on the old shape (96-98) Micra quite a bit.
Comfort
It's ok. Rides most bumps well. Seats are adequate, but nothing special.

Security and Service
Security
Very poor security. No standard alarm or any security features. If you buy this car, make sure you've got somewhere safe to keep it!
Service
Manufacturer has been fine. Dealers can charge too much for service though, so it pays to shop around.
