Economy
Value
Excellent value, superb insurance quotes, especially as a first car.
Costs
Decent cost of servicing, main dealers labour/parts can be improved upon by going independent, 300miles per tank, approx 39mpg.

On the road
Driving
Excellent round town, kinda noisy on motorway if you try to stay at 70 going up hill. 5th gear torque not as good as 1.3L Micra.
Performance
Face it, it's a city car, 0-60 not that important. However, parking in town couldn't be simpler. Can see all corners, C pillars do not create much of a blind spot reverse parking is a dawdle (tight spaces no problem). Manoeuvrability is 1st class.

Living with it
Reliability
Absolutely no problems, Japanese reliability cant be faulted.
Image
If you need a small run-around and/or have young children it's a great car, but if you have kids get a 5 door, it'll save straining your back trying to get to the back seats.
Comfort
I rarely use the back seats, and I'm always in the front so it doesn't effect me. Anyone over 5' 4" will not fit behind a 6' driver. Average height drivers and passengers should be ok. Long distance in front caused no aches or pains, even for lanky 6' me.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, factory fit immobiliser. Had no problems.
Service
Service always good no problems.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
No problems, if it can still move with a back seat full of rugby players it can't be all bad.
Other
Ideal first car. Cheap to own and run. Bargains to be had. Always get full service history, there are so many Micras out there - don't settle for risky examples.
