Two-star Euro NCAP crash test result highlights Micra’s age. ABS has been an option (except base models) since launch. It’s standard on SE and SE+. Airbags are found on most models since 1995, and on all since 1998. Despite having an immobiliser since 1996, Micra is not the most secure small car – an after-market alarm is desirable.
Enough space for a week’s shopping, not so good for bulky suitcases. A few cubby holes in the dash and doors for glasses and drinks.
