Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think it says that like to buy a car that is a little different to other superminis and don't worry about "image".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most couldn't care less.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Its a good little motor but I wish they would resolve the sensor problem. I'll probably choose another make next time just for a change.
What are you likely to buy next?
A diesel Kia Rio. I think they are an up and coming brand we'll see a lot more of.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£9,545
When did you buy the car?
March 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
A fair deal. Nissan themselves had a promotion offering £1000 off but the dealer could not/would not reduce price any further.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I previously owned a 2002 1.0 auto micra (the previous generation) and was very satisfied with that. So I thought I would remain loyal to a brand I trusted. BTW I've owned a lot of other brands and models so I am qualified to compare with other marques.
What was the dealer like?
Pretty satisfied with both sales and service staff.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very nice to drive. Particularly on winding country 'B' roads of which we have many in west Wales. Gives a good account of itself in most situations. The "cancel overdrive" switch can be very useful with the auto box when a little more acceleration is required. But I'd recommend you make sure there's a big gap before you pull out to overtake, on the motorway at higher speeds, because it lacks "oomph" in those situations. Although its pretty good at lower speeds.
What's it like to park?
Great turning circle and excellent visibilty make parking or any tight manoeuvres a doddle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Oxygen sensor failed after 6,000 miles
What's most practical about your car?
Its a small car but there is plenty of room, considering I'm over six feet tall.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I like as few gadgets as possible as there is less to go wrong.
