Nissan Micra Hatchback Tekna IG-T 90 5d Owner Review

Bought the Nissan micra 0.9 ig-t tekna as I like the looks and because it comes with a lot of equipment, especially in tekna finition. I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive as some of the reviews from experts were a little unkind but I don't regret it. Yes the Ford fiesta might be a little better handling(driven one as a holiday rental) but the mlcra isn't far behind and the gear box in the Nissan is miles better despite having only 5 gears. The micra is surprisingly quiet on motorway, and comfortable too. The suspension might be a little on the firm side but it isn't a deal breaker and it makes the micra good fun in twisty b roads. The engine is good, not worse than any other 3 cylinder turbo engine that seems to be in every car now, and it's pretty economical. I manage to get 42 miles to the gallon on average which is pretty good for my driving style I even achieved a 57/mpg run. Having only owned the car a few weeks I hadn't had any problems with it, but my local Nissan dealership is very good and helpful when i have contacted them.
The cons could be if you do a lot of motorway driving then a 6 gear gearbox might be better and the space at the back is good if you not too tall and with wind up windows, no door bins or cup holders on long trips it might be a little uncomfortable
If you are after a fun little car then I would recommend the micra without hesitation, it is in my personal opinion an amazing car.
