Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 23 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Fuel economy is what you’d expect from a 3.5-litre V6 matched to a large 4x4 body with an average of just 23mpg. Insurance is reasonable though with a group 15 rating while Nissan servicing is reasonably priced. However, service intervals of just 9,000 miles are short compared to other 4x4s, especially diesel-powered models. Because of the restricted numbers, its value-for-money and sporty image, residuals are better than average.
The Murano is a polluting model and the V6 engine emits a hefty 295g/km of CO2 while returning a poor 23mpg.
The Murano was sold in the USA before it came to the UK and it fared well for reliability. You can expect the usual Nissan standards of build quality and durability.
