Nissan Murano Estate (2005-2008) boot space, practicality and safety
The Murano hasn’t been test by Euro NCAP but Nissan predicted that it would achieve a four-star rating, which is reasonable. Among the safety features are active head restraints, ESP, full-length side curtain airbags and emergency braking assistance.
The Murano has a usefully large boot with 438 litres of luggage space (under the load cover with the back seats up) and the space itself is wide and free some intrusions. The opening could be wider, but the lack of a load lip means sliding out heavy objects is easy. The rear seats also fold down easily thanks to handles in the boot – and create a flat load floor.
There’s a large storage box in the centre console that’s capable of swallowing a laptop plus small cubbies by the glovebox (ideal for coins), extendable door bins and front and rear cupholders. As standard all cars have a rearview camera which makes parking much easier.
