Summary
What does this car say about you?
Hard to say. I'm 62 and when I see other Notes I always look at the driver and they all look about 75 or more. I think it says I'm comfortable with this car and don't need to prove anything.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
As I've been driving a succession of Volvo estates for 18 years they say it's a nice little car (mainly to wind me up)
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, because it's practical, roomy, cheap to insure and cheap to run. And I like it. But at a push I might go for something just a bit bigger, like a Qashqai
What are you likely to buy next?

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,995
When did you buy the car?
September 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got the deal which suited me and got the PX price I wanted.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Have had Nissan/Datsun before and knew them to be reliable. Car suited my requirements as I was downsizing from a Volvo XC70 AWD.
What was the dealer like?
Although a national company they had a bit of a cavalier attitude and overcharged me by £200 as they didn't take my deposit off the balance. Took me 4 weeks and the threat of legal action in a letter to the company chairman to get my £200 back, but no apology.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It fairly flies along. Cruises comfortably at 70+ on the motorway but still has power in hand for overtaking if required. Engine very quiet and smooth. Can be a bit jerky at lower speeds around town but needs to be driven with a positive right foot.
What's it like to park?
A doddle to park, in any direction or any space. Parking sensors are useful.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Servo needed replacing 4 days after I bought it but it was done under by local Nissan dealer under warranty, no quibble.
What's most practical about your car?
To me it is a small car but it is very roomy and practical. The adjustable floor level in the boot is brilliant and there is plenty of room for a dog cage.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Parking sensors are useful. Chilled glove box is handy, as is copious storage under passenger seat. Also like infor centre and radio controls on steering wheel.
