Family man on a budget. That i'm colour blind.

Comfortable, practical, bit bland, dodgy colour.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, i was disappointed with reliability from the first Japanese car I've had. Also now prefer diesel for longer distances and use abroad.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not the quietest; better driven gently at low revs as it doesn't build power especially well. OK torque for a petrol permits this. Only managed 30-32 mpg around town though. Handling and ride is pretty soft with 15 inch wheels, turn in is lazy and I missed the sharp handling of other cars I've owned. Brakes tended to be excellent when calipers were working properly.
What's it like to park?
Power steering not the lightest. Elecric mirrors, large window and visible bootlid make parking easy. Third headrest normally got removed when not needed.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rust problems; moderate inside bootlid and window/door frames but substantial rot to subframe (needed renewal) and corrosion to air con condensor and feed pipes. Front brake caliper failure on both sides fairly common for type of car according to owners' forum. 90k of light use also left the car with handling problems due to steering/suspension wear and a damaged cylinder head gasket.
What's most practical about your car?
Large boot, multi adjustable seats make it comfortable. It carried 5 people with luggage on 800 mile/day ourneys in reasonable comfort.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Not fitted with anything unusually useful. Cam chain eliminates the worry of belt snappage.
