    Leased at an excellent rate

    Costs

    2 out of 5 2.0

31 mpg max! Rubbish for a medium power 1800. 9,000 mile servicing, other cars now up to 20,000

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Good visibility, handling ok, like central dials, N-form controls a bit fiddly. Antilock braking is ineffectual - car will skid quite happily in the wet.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Fairly good if you wind it up, but gets noisy

    Reliability

    1 out of 5 1.0

Awful: hatch would'nt close properly initially, air vent fell apart, front rollbar links wear out every 15000 miles (renewed 3 times). But it's never actually broken down - well done Nissan …

"Grampy" I suppose, but for me one of the best looking saloons out there today and they're different. Just a pity mine is duff.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seats not too supportive, but hey, no backaches at all. Lots of head & leg room. Climate control best kept on manual, wants to go full blast in your face all the time when temp goes above about 15 degrees

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seems fine, apart from times when hatch refused to close & had to leave it just held down by its weight.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Not good. Took 4 visits to resolve hatch closure problem, could not find anything wrong with electrics, but Nissan do seem to be doing something about the hatchlid damage from so much slamming needed to close it. They have ignored all the other faults.
