Nissan Primera Saloon 2.0e GT 4d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Costs
Cost of boot latch £20. Depreciation a bit steep, not helped by Nissan bringing out new models so often.
-
On the road
Driving
Beats Cavalier SRi and Renault 19 16V - handling superb at any speed. Gears very slick.
Performance
Excellent power for size of car. Just need places to be able to use it! Engine smooth from idling speed up to 7,500rpm - I'm sure it could go higher.

Living with it
Reliability
Boot wouldn't open - needed new latch. Nothing else so far.
Image
People who've looked at the car like it.
Comfort
As everyone else has said, suspension firm on bumpy city roads, but get the benefit on country lanes. Seats good (leather).

Security and Service
Security
An alarm as standard would have been nice by this year.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Idle a little uneven - Nissan dealer couldn't find any faults.
Other
Sometimes knocking noise from front suspension upper arms - might replace this year.
