Summary
What does this car say about you?
If your on a budget, a tight one... This car is a definite contender and must be considered. Its for the person concerned more about practicality, realibilty, and economy than sporty ness.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
That its very reliable, they are still shocked to see it still going after what I've put it through.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely. It's cheap, economical and extremely reliable. In fact I have my eye on the 2.0 sport version 2001 model.
What are you likely to buy next?
Nissan primera 2.0 sport 2001-2003.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,095
When did you buy the car?
October 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a cracking deal as it only had 72,000 on the clock with full service history. The dealer even threw in 3 months guarantee that if anything were to happen I could return it for full refund.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
For its space, economy and realibilty.
What was the dealer like?
He was OK. Kind of pushy but nothing overtly uncomfortable. To be fair I did test drive the car twice before and asked if I could drive it one third and final time... Lol so I should expect some pushy-ness on his part after this lol.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I'll admit the handling is a bit bouncy but then again its not a sports car. Motorway driving is a breeze. It hates hills you do need to work the heard especially if like me you have kids in e back and a wife who likes to pack the kitchen sink. Its very esay to park, I've never had an issue with this especially in Paris where the drivers do not seem to mind being parked bumper to bumper and if there is not quite any room they MAKE ROOM if you know what I mean.
What's it like to park?
Brilliant to park. The viewing angles are great. The rear view mirror is nice and large and there are no awkward blind spots.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One of the drive shafts to front right wheel snapped, but was cheap to fix. Apart from that all I have had to replace is normal wear and tear parts like, tyres, CV joints, brakes. Nothing has gone wrong with the engine at all, still starts first time, very reliable! And all this even after I ran up onto a central reservation on the motorway!
What's most practical about your car?
I've driven it to France and back twice, to Wales 4 times, to London many times, to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Lincolnshire, and its still holding up. Its very cheap to run too. Costs me just £45 with inner city driving to get London and back to Leicester.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air conditioning, no more sweaty driving, with wet smelly seats. Lol.
