What does this car say about you?

I like the look of a 4x4 without having the 4x4 drive.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It's big, Massive boot, nice ride.

Would you buy this car again and why?

    No, things have gone wrong

What are you likely to buy next?

Don't know, we are looking at Honda and Toyota.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £14,000

When did you buy the car?

    April 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

We didn't get that good a deal - we were more than happy to pay what we paid.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We were looking for something with 5 doors and a little bit bigger than what we had. This seemed to tick all the boxes. We like the look of the Qashqai, the higher driving position, the fuel economy, parking sensors, rain sensitive wipers, automatic lights, cruise control, climate control, Bluetooth connectivity... just everything about it and we said yes.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was friendly and courteous and was more than happy to take our car as part-exchange.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

It's nice to drive on the motorway - stick on the cruise control and you can adjust the speed by the controls. Around the town it's nice and comfortable; however on the country roads it can be a bit sluggish at overtaking.

    What's it like to park?

It's excellent to park, the turning circle is quite tight for the size of the car so reverse parking is a pleasure made so much easier with the parking sensors.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

The A/C clutch sheared off due to it seizing during the summer. The passenger door mechanics broke off after my wife closed the door normally and we couldn't open it from the inside. The driver's and passenger's windows cannot be wound down fully as they stick and will take 30 minutes of driving round to wind up fully. Nissan says it is the window arm at over £100 each and another mechanic says it’s the wiring.

What's most practical about your car?

The size, especially the boot size - it is massive. You can take diving gear for two people and still have room to spare.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The parking sensors, automatic wipers, automatic lights, the whole kit.
