What does this car say about you?

I don't know... that I like big cars without the fuel cost?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It's nice, comfortable and the boot is huge.

Would you buy this car again and why?

    No.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have absolutely no idea - we are looking at everything on the market. Though we are looking more and more at Honda and Toyota.

    What price did you pay?

    £14,000

When did you buy the car?

    April 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

We didn't really push for a deal. W saw the price and were more than happy to pay what they were asking for the car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We were looking for something new and a bit different t- he looks and style of the Qashqai fitted our expectations. The high driving position, better fuel economy, more boot space and 5 doors made it all the more appealing.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was kind, courteous and more than happy to assist with using our car for a part-exchange for the new car.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It's nice to drive on the motorway - stick on the cruise control and you're laughing all the way. However, sometimes when on country roads the 1.5 diesel can be a little slow on the uptake so overtaking can be a challenge. In town it easily keeps up with the traffic without too much bother. but all in all confrotable and when not pushing it it will cruise around happily.

    What's it like to park?

Parking is brilliant, the turning circle is possibly one of the best I have ever experienced so sticking it in a tight spot is quite easily done, made even easier with the parking sensors.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

The A/C clutch sheared off due to it seizing during the summer. The passenger door handle mechanics broke off after my wife closed the door normally and we couldn't open it from the inside. The driver and passenger windows cannot be wound down fully as they stick and will take 30 minutes of driving round to wind up fully. Nissan says it is the window arm at over £100 each and another mechanic says it’s the wiring.

What's most practical about your car?

The most practical thing about the car is the massive boot

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Little things like rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights and parking sensors are little bonuses.
