Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I am a practical, unassuming, non poseur.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all think it is great.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No - I have owned 6 Hondas and there is no comparison in build quality. British labour/Japanese Management (Honda Swindon) obviously works. Most annoying thing about Qashqai? The NON OPENING glass roof. They would have been MUCH bbetter putting the huge OPENING roof from the X-Trail on the Qashqai
What are you likely to buy next?
Have gone back to my previous car. Saab 9-3 convertible.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
January 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Excellent deal. Although I paid list price Dealer gave me £2k more for my P/X than my local Nissan dealer
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Fulfilled all my needs at the time. Easy to get in and out. Good looking, lots of 'toys', adequate performance. First journey into Nissan-dom.
What was the dealer like?
Absolutely first class in every respect. If all Motor Dealers were like F.J.Chalke of Wincanton, the motor trade would have a much better reputation. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I am seriously VERY sad to be leaving them as a customer!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Originally comfortable, quiet and for a jap engine the torque is in the right place at the right time due to the excellent CVT gearbox. Excellent road holding. Now NOISY, clattery due to Shockers.
What's it like to park?
A complete doddle fittted with the rear parking sensors
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
YES! Drivers door window kept coming out of it's holder and dropping into the door. Drivers door check strap bolts worked loose, resulting in 'clicking' on opening and closing door. Nut missing (never fitted) on rear bumper, resulting in mad flapping of bumper at speed caused by air flow. Rear shock absorber bushes went within 6 months. Recognised problem. but 6 week wait for back ordered parts from Nissan
What's most practical about your car?
Space and pace. comfortable, huge boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear Parking sensors. Too many to list on the Tekna. The best kitted out car I have ever owned (& I have owned 62 cars!)
