Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021) 1.5 dCi Acenta Premium 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I have renewed my car and bought new every 3-4 years since 1991. This is without doubt the worst new car I have ever bought and proved to be an expensive mistake. After just over two years of constant visits to the dealer I decided to cut my losses and sell. The Qashqai, Nissan and I have now parted company. Based on my experience of this car I would never buy another Nissan, ever. In summary, the design is clunky and lacks attention to detail, the build quality is poor, the drive around town is awful and it is dismally unreliable.
How reliable do you find the car?
Electrical systems totally unreliable. Repeated issues with parking sensors, brake warning system and brakes. Infotainment system did occasional random unexpected shutdown and reboot. Climate control failure before 20k miles and multiple niggly issues related to poor build quality such as fittings dropping off and falling to bits, poorly seated trim and seals. key battery failure, Some really daft design failures such as lack of independent heat/ventilation to rear passengers; no sensors in rear seats so seat belt waning obscures other displays until cancelled (ie every time you start the car!). Water drainage below windscreen on one side only means that when cleaning car you have to clear puddle of water from one side if parked on incline.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Comfortable seats, good on motorways and decent Satnav. However, dreadful drive around town with laggy acceleration, which is particularly bad low speed in second. Flabby gear change. Noisier than expected, especially on rougher tarmac. Sound system not that special.About their car
