Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021) 1.6 dCi N-Tec+ 5d Owner Review

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This car was my 2nd venture into the SUV/Crossover market. The Qashqai (1.6 diesel, NTec+) is a very good vehicle, achieving approx 35-40mpg around town driving, between 50-60mpg doing long distance (depending on how I drive). The height that you sit at is very good, giving you a higher viewing position. The spec of the NTec+ was very good; alloys, rear window tinting, satnav, and a large panoramic roof (and sit have good headroom).

Things that could have been improved.
What stopped me rating this as excellent, are the little things. No Android auto/Apple car play (although you can get aftermarket units that you can retrofit). Sitting position is more akin to driving a normal hatchback or estate, rather than an MPV that I would have preferred with a SUV/Crossover. Satnav updates are via an SD that are pricey from Nissan, instead of OTA updates. Lastly the placement of the front two cup holders, especially if you get a 500ml bottle(s) and you use the centre armrest, then go to change the gears (the bottles get in your way).

However those are nit picking, overall a very good car. And IMO one to shortlist.

How reliable do you find the car?

In the 4.5 years that I have owned this car, the only things that I have had to replace are tyres, the brakes, a cracked rear light, and windscreen wipers. Apart from those "consumables", the car has sailed through each MOT with no advisories.
