Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021) 1.6 DiG-T Tekna 5d Owner Review

In their own words
When choosing a replacement car recently, I scoured the car markets, but have decided to order another Qashqai as I would miss the "extras" they have far too much. The easy access button on the door handle allowing key-less entry is really great, as I don't have to dig the key out of my handbag when my hands are full. I adore the heated seats which are also very supportive, and are electronically adjustable for the driver. The heated windscreen is also a boon in Winter.
I have never been bothered to use the self-parking option as it is too fiddly to do if there is a queue of traffic behind me in town, but it can be good for bay parking. With practice I'm sure it is very good in town too, as long as you can set it up quickly. However, with rear sensors and fantastic 360degree cameras, there is little point in not parking yourself. I would like the glass roof to open sometimes, but it isn't intended as a sun roof, and the air-con is really efficient (or opening the windows works too of course). I have started to wonder if I am just getting very lazy as a driver, as I have got so used to automatically dipping headlights which turn themselves on when needed, automatic wipers and rear-view mirror, and an electronic handbrake too. It just makes driving so easy. I am so pleased to be having a new version for my next car, as I am also changing to an automatic petrol version and it is a really easy drive.
How reliable do you find the car?
Needed to have the panoramic roof cover fixed once as it clanked on operation. Seems it was due to lack of use, but not too sure. I also experienced a few key errors and other electronic issues which were partly due to my driving style which I changed (holding the clutch down for too long), and partly due to low batteries in the key fob which were changed. Just niggles really. The stop-start was a little temperamental because I do mainly short journeys. The diesel particulate filter would clog, but by driving harder over a distance it would clear, and then the stop-start worked.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
It has almost every comfort feature that may be extra in other cars. The build quality is solid and the finish fairly high. Access is easy, there is plenty of storage space, and the ride is smooth.About their car
