Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not a lot.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
No complaints. People come up to me in the street to ask my opinion of it - the first time that's happened in almost thirty years of driving.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Comfortable and reliable - it's got about 47,000 miles on the clock. I might think about a diesel though as this version is a little thirsty around town (about 28 -30 mpg) - I am rather heavy footed though.
What are you likely to buy next?
The same or very similar.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£20,000
When did you buy the car?
June 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I thought so - it had 300 miles on the clock and was the demonstrator car we went out for a test drive in. My wife asked if it was for sale as they didn't have anything else suitable in stock, the salesman went to ask the manager and he said OK.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It met our needs and my two chidren (at the time 15 & 19 years old) said it was comfy in the back.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly, patient and helpful.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not bad at all - with the cruise control it makes long distance motorway driving almost restful - even after driving a few hundred miles.
What's it like to park?
The rear camera makes reversing a doddle; slightly more awkward is the front end - difficult to judge where it is! I can see why the latest model comes with front and side cameras.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A slight creak from the boot - sorted in one visit to the dealer. A very slight leak from a coolant pipe - noticed and rectified during it's first service.
What's most practical about your car?
Plenty. The extra height makes it easier to get in and out. The 4x4 drive makes it easy to get up the snow covered track to my garage.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The n-Tec stuff - the sat-nav, the bluetooth link for phones and connections for MP3 players. My (now deceased) old mother loved the panoramic roof - she liked looking at the clouds going by.
