Nissan QX 3.0 V6 SE 4d Auto (1995/N) Owner Review

Value
Second hand value can't be beaten. You get a lot of car for the money. Would never buy new as initial depreciation is shocking.
Costs
Suprisingly good mpg for a 3 litre auto if used mainly for motorway driving. Repair and servicing costs very high as I had to use a Nissan main dealer. Many independent garages had never heard of the car let alone know where to get the parts.

Driving
Excellent motorway cruiser but would have been even better with rear wheel drive.
Performance
Slight wallowing in sharp bends but quite good acceleration and excellent brakes.

Living with it
Reliability
Have had the car (second-hand) for nearly six years and, in over 100,000 miles of driving, have had no real problems. It has been the most reliable car I have ever had.
Image
The few cars that are around tend to be driven by middle-aged or older men. In fact, I've never seen it driven by anyone as young as me and I'm 44. The car looks nice, if a little anonymous.
Comfort
Very comfortable but a little more road/wind noise than you might expect.

Security and Service
Security
Not exactly a magnet for thieves but locking and alarm very good.
Service
Parts and labour very expensive. Sometimes had to wait a long time for parts to arrive. It's just as well that there were few problems.

Initial problems with starter motor but this was replaced under warranty. Replacement feeder pipe for power steering fluid had to be ordered from Japan and cost a fortune.
