What does this car say about you?

As a keen gardener and outdoors type person I think this is reflected in the Terrano.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They seem to think it suits me, though the running joke is about running costs.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Without a doubt, I have found it incredibly comfortable ( essential to my physical needs ), It has been reliable only having to replace the regular things like tyres, brakes, oil, windscreen wipers etc. Nothing out of the ordinary to put you off it. Ive now had it for 8-9 yrs now and that says a lot to me especially going through MOT without unexpected costs. It just keeps on going.

What are you likely to buy next?

If brand new possibly a Range Rover or Land Rover or definitely a Toyota Land Cruiser, 2nd hand I wouldnt mind trying a Land Rover Discovery 7 series or a Misubishi Shogun or definitely a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I believe I got a good deal as it had extremely low mileage, was in pristine condition and had only been used to go to the shops in by previous 2 owners.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I bought it because it was one of the only car seats I could get into and out of and be comfortable in as it did have high sides/wings that wedge the hips. I also wanted a 4x4 for its safety in structure and having the option of 4 wheel drive was desired for towing.

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was more than willing to make it ready for me with Tax n Mot, also valeted it for me with no extra cost on asking priceHe also showed me the HP check on it.

What's it like to drive?

I love it since I am disabled and now built for comfort and not for speed. Its a great constant, handles well though does roll a little in cornering but that just adds to the fun of it. It can cruise at 80 on motorways happy as Larry though does get noisy after 90. With doing high speeds it does drink a lot!! But unless for holidaying I only use it domestically and locally. Uphill- I havnt had many hills where I have had to change down in unhitched, but a few steep ones with low speed limits can cause a down shift to 4th. It is such an easy car to drive that it puts a smile on my face every time I get in it and pootle off.

What's it like to park?

As im disabled and turning myhead and back is restricted I rely heavily on the mirrors and I honestly have not found a spot that I couldnt get in either parallel parking of reversing into bays in a car park. Being higher up allows greater viewing which is an advantage in many situations.

Have you had any problems with the car?

THe only fault I can state is that the door seals are perishing and let water in the boot and passenger footwell in heavy downpors. I havnt got round to changing them as generally keep it under cover. Only other time I had a problem was 4 years ago in the heavy snows and freeze, Ice had built up around my rear nearside lights and subsequently stripped some of the wires causing an electrical short. That was soon and simply fixed once realised.

What's most practical about your car?

I think its the best thing Ive driven towing my caravan with, never used 1st gear with it and rarely have to use 4 wheel drive when towing too. It just happy to pull and pull.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Tow bar definitely. With a caravan its a no brainer, but having one helps if you need to use a trailer for home use etc. Makes life simple.
