Summary
What does this car say about you?
We are sensible, living in the country and owning a workhorse of a 4x4 rather than a soft roader or badge marque.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My family really appreciate it now that I got food and supplies to them when their village was cut off during the recent snow, fellow caravanners buy on ability and reliablity not on badge snobbery.
Would you buy this car again and why?
This is our second SE SWD, so yes because they never go wrong; they do everything you ask of them and are cheap to buy and run.
What are you likely to buy next?
Either another SWB with the 3.0 Tdi or a Merc ML270 (old style) or a Kia Sorento, the latter two solely because Terrano are getting rare in low miles and good condition.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
We had another one previously and sold it with 100,000 miles on the clock and absolutely nothing wrong with it. We missed it and they are excellent towcars, so bought another when the chance arose.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Er.... industrial! It chugs along nicely, tows our huge German caravan easily but it is an old school 4x4, on road it's OK but off road or in deep snow it's brilliant.
What's it like to park?
easy as it's the 3 door SWB.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing! on either one we have owned.
What's most practical about your car?
The excellent 4 wheel drive coped with 2 bad winters easily and the 2.7 Tdi is an amazing engine in such a small car; makes an excellent tug!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Aircon, but they aren't luxury 4x4s they are built to work hard and last. Best accesssory is the Pirelli Scorpion AWT tyres, 4 wheel drive is pointless without good off road tyres and these are a great compromise.
