Economy
Value
Buy from a car supermarket, not the dealer for the best value.
Costs
Any competent mechanic can do most jobs so no need to go to dealer. Fuel economy fair for this type of vehicle.
-
On the road
Driving
A good compromise between off-road ability and on-road competence. This car gives a solid drive at sensible speeds. Take care in the wet as grip can catch you out and both over and understeer possible.
Performance
This is not a sportscar.

Living with it
Reliability
Bulletproof engines and transmission.
Image
Does not get you noticed, but maybe that's a good thing.
Comfort
Lovely upright driving position, never a hint of backache.

Security and Service
Security
Nobody ever steals these, so no problem.

Expensive but competent.

Almost all these cars leave the factory with faulty front wheel geometry, shows as uneven front tyre wear. Insist that dealer does full check, not just tracking. Front wheel bearings will fail if not regularly greased and adjusted; dealer may not do this.
