What does this car say about you?

I'd like to believe it says 'here's a bloke who combines practicality with a touch of comfort" Observers may say...."wannabe...who would like a Range Rover but cant afford one"!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I really cannot say...I ignored psychology with disdain at Uni...opted for more esoteric Quantum Mechanics!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Never....poor mpg!

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure but whichever one I buy it must give a minimum of 40mpg so I guess the Xtrail as well as Porches are eliminated! I'm liking the Citroen DS5 Hybrid.

Did you get a good deal and why?

As stated the bargain was unbelievable at over 5k less than showroom price. The vehicle was a UK spec imported from Europe.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I test drove the Honda and Toyota SUVs and the Nissan was most comfortable and offered all optional extras (as at then) at a cheaper price. The bargain weighed heavily in favour of the X-trail.

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was very friendly and helpful considering he was based in Leeds and I in London. All transaction was done over the phone with email and fax support....includung the bargain finance!!

What's it like to drive?

Average but I'd like to think that it was cool from the observer's perspective. LOL!

What's it like to park?

Quite good....large rear windscreen as well as rear view and wing mirrors eliminated blind spots very well.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I moved home after 2 years which meant considerable commuting....that was when the poor mpg hit me HARD...in the wallet! I installed a premium LPG conversion system and was smiling every time I drove past a filling station. About a year after...calamity struck...the engine died on me! I bought another engine and by this time I was merely tolerating the vehicle...there was no love lust left in me! The 6 CD changer also got stuck and will not work anymore. It is on my driveway awaiting a 3rd engine as I write! Barring those, there's nothing wrong with the car!...LOL!!!

What's most practical about your car?

The vehicle was roomy and airy and leather seats added a touch of luxury.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

For 2002 there are no real gadgets in the car but the 6CD changer, panoramic sunroof and air conditioning were small but welcome blessings!
