People thought i was rich owning a 3 year old car. They were soon put right when they were told the deal we got on it.

They loved it. Said it was good looking a smooth to be a passenger in.

Got a good deal. 4 year old X-Trail for £6100 with 120,000 miles on the clock. High mileage for the age, but it was an ex-company car and was fine until...........
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Great car for small money. Wanted the tall ride hight without losing the car feel.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant. It felt like a car, just on stilts. Great driving position and quite fast for the size and weight.

Very easy. Great visibility and light steering. No problem at all.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yeah. The fuel pump soleniod went. Cost £150 to fix. Then the biggie. The timing chain. Replaced it, then 25 days later it broke. Turns out the chain was faulty. Had to get the head rebuilt, and it needed a new clutch and dual mass flywheel at the same time. Ouch!
What's most practical about your car?
Economy, 4WD and boot space. 4WD is a must have for max resale value.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
4WD. It made drifting in the snow a hell of a lot more fun. Watching the X5's and Range Roonies struggling to get up hills with me gliding past no problem :P.
