Nissan X-Trail 2.2 Di Sport 5d (2003/53) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Good value compared to it's competition
Costs
Not too bad - tyres aren't too bad - fronts needed replacing at 18,000 and economy is realistically around 35MPG - Insurance cost £28 a year more than the V reg Polo that I traded in for it.

On the road
Driving
For a big car it drives really well, handling is good and it's no slouch either - long journeys just fly by!
Performance
It's not slow - but it's a big and heavy - the TD is a good engine with plenty of torque which keeps you moving along - rarely need to change out of 6th gear when your on the motorway
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems as yet!
Image
I guess it depends if you like SUVs really - I think it is the best looking car in its class
Comfort
Very comfortable - nice front seats, reclining rear seats - will seat 5 adults in comfort, climate control and huge sun roof - everything you'd want from an SUV really!
-
Security and Service
Security
Seems good - alarmed and immobilised as standard - it's still on my drive so I assume it's ok!
Service
Nissan servicing leaves a bit to be desired - I'd have thought that a car that had a full service wouldn't have a slack handbrake cable - lots of other minor things missed too.
