Summary
What does this car say about you?
Nothing really. I had XTrails because I do quite a lot of flyfishing and need to go across fields.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all think that it is a great vehicle (they are not aware of the ongoing engine problems)
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes (If the engine problem is sorted - if not, it will be got rid of in the very near future)
What are you likely to buy next?
Depends entirely on the outcome of the engine issue.

£0
When did you buy the car?
April 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes got good deal and changeover price was acceptable.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had earlier model XTrail Sport (55 plate). No problems at all, apart from turbo failure which was replaced FOC/under Nissan extended turbo warranty. Just decided that I would like to change the vehicle. Had good offer from mine and bought one of Nissan managers vehicles with 6.5K on clock.

Very good

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very nice drive, with plenty of power. Cruises effortlessly on Motorways and goes up hills without having to go through box
What's it like to park?
uite easy. It has a rear parking camera, but I would definitely prefer the rear parking sensors (had paring sensors fitted to my 55 plate)

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I have had engine 'missing' problems since 4th April 2009. Vehicle purchased on 25th March 2009. Been back to 2 Nissan Dealers but has yet to be cured. Due to go in again (for 4th time) to try and find out what problem is. Nothing shows up on vehicle computer. Very worrying as it has happened going over roundabout and nearly caused a serious accident. My wife now flatly refuses to drive it.
What's most practical about your car?
For a 173bhp engine, it is quite economical.
