Summary
What does this car say about you?
I suppose it says I'm a new driver or entering my golden years. Most of them are driven by 17 or 70 year olds. I don't really care what people think but I hope it's 'There goes a man who knows what he needs in a car'.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everybody seems to like it. I've got the car because it's used for commuting so it's a purely practical decision, most people respect me for that.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, without a shadow of doubt if my circumstances are the same. It's been fantastic so far, it could be the only car you would ever need as it can do everything. I hope to keep it for many years to come.
What are you likely to buy next?
Depends if I'm commuting a lot or not. If not then it'll be a sporty coupe like an MR2 or Prelude, but if I am then a Skoda VRs or Golf GT TDI.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,790
When did you buy the car?
December 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
It was good as I paid book price, mileage was low and the car was in very good condition. Couldn't get the guy down by a single pound as he knew the car would sell. They threw in a years MOT, service and 6 months AA warranty.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I need a small economical car for commuting to work
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly and helpful. Would have been fantastic if they'd knocked some money off for me.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant, handles really well. It feels nippy round town but yet can cruise on the motorway easily up to 80. Feedback throught he steering wheel and pedals is superb. I'd describe it as a pure driving experience. I work out my average economy every time I fill up (sad I know) I'm disappointed if I get less than 55mpg and thats driving a 50 mile round trip on winding A roads.
What's it like to park?
Easy. Good visibility all round. Could do with power steering but as a 26 year old male I can cope quite easily. The steering lock isn't good for a small car though.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
It's very economical for commuting and very practical for driving into town and to the supermarket. What more can you ask for?
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The gas struts that hold the bonnet up. It was such a pleaant surprise to find them on a car like this.
