What does this car say about you?

Being young, it looks typical. It seems to get a lot of looks and they don't tend to be dirty looks!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends really love it. Girlfriend loves it. Strangers seem to love it (always clean and fresh while being not chavved up) BUT, my dad seems to have something against it. Probably because I got it cheap and it works really well and he was wrong and is a bit of a stubborn man hehe.

Would you buy this car again and why?

In a heartbeat. Really has a character. I have a pet dog. This is like my second pet dog. It'll give me the paw if i ask it to.

What are you likely to buy next?

Well I haven't thought this far ahead. She is serving me really well but I picked up a fine Fiesta for 100 quid. I'll most likely work on this Fiesta and resell for a very decent profit and keep my beloved 106. She is THE best.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes!! It was lying up in a driveway for a couple of months and I heard about it and checked it out. Love at first sight. Had an unexpected airbag and electric windows. 98,000 miles when bought. 105,367 today.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Sold my old one and heard about it from a friend.

What's it like to drive?

She handles so well like it's on rails. That 1.1 is a very nippy motor. I'm not a speed enthusiast but I do open it up every now and then and it does give me a cheeky grin. Surprising. She has lots of character.

What's it like to park?

A breeze!

Have you had any problems with the car?

Well I enjoy fiddling under a bonnet and I replaced all the filters and oil. I was worried the head gasket was blown because of oil in the expansion tank but after I flushed the coolant 6,000 miles ago, she is still running sweet as a nut. The expansion tank was a spare part from a Saxo and I believe oil was in it before being installed on my car. Mis-firing at cold start but always went away after 5 seconds, now the weather has warmed slightly it doesn't happen. Just another character trait, I hate cold, too. Other than general consumables, the car hasn't cost me. Love her.

What's most practical about your car?

Its small size for a young man (20) and those electric windows surprise everyone lucky enough to sit in my amazing little 106.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The CD player that came with it is amazing. Electric windows! Airbag! (sexy steering wheel). The car itself is a gem for being so simplistic but still having a personality and the ability to make you smile.
