Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not a lot really.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think its ugly, which it is. Having carried passengers, none of them have a lot of good to say about it. Its 15 years old, and really feels it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Its just way too dated now. There is a huge choice of small nippy cars about which offer so much more. 106's have long been obsolete.
What are you likely to buy next?
Have just bought a Fiesta Freestyle 2001, but wanted a new Seat Ibiza SC.

Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£500
When did you buy the car?
August 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Because these cars are mostly all old and high milage, and there are a lot of them around, they tend to be cheap.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
He was a used car salesman, need i say more?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A real pig. No power steering, offset pedals, a tiny footwell and a lacklustre engine made this a real headache to live with. Driving it on the motorway was a nerve-shredder, it makes a lot of noise at 70mph and long trips are uncomfortable for tall drivers such as myself.
What's it like to park?
Easy, you could just throw it into any space. Having no power steering meant frequent battles with heavy steering.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Lots, but that was to be expected with such an old car. You'll probably struggle to find one with a full service history, and most have had a lot of previous owners.
What's most practical about your car?
The size, its frugal with petrol consumption.
