Peugeot 106 1.5 D Escapade Level 1 3d (1996/N) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
Unrivalled fuel efficiency, modern cars are only just catching up, Peugeot prices are too high, if you can find a good specialist things are OK.
Costs
Insurance is good, tax is still on the lower scale.
-
On the road
Driving
Smooth brakes & clutch, steering is fine around town, but gets a bit hairy on twisty roads.
Performance
90mph is realistic, but noisy. Hills can pose a problem, especially if the car is weighed down.
-

Reliability
Starts first time, every time - some noise on cold mornings, but little else.

Mainly a woman's car, you get let out a little more often.
Comfort
Everything is in easy reach. Front seats are bearable for a couple of hours, rear, for about 45mins.

Remote central locking a nice feature - no real issues as yet.

Helpful, but only after a 20 minute wait.
