-
Economy
Value
Wasn't that cheap secondhand, but out-weighed by economy.
Costs
Dirt cheap to run, especially if you can do a bit of maintaining yourself.
-
On the road
Driving
Generally good for size of car. Drifts to much on fast corners - wider tyres needed?
Performance
Suprisingly nippy for a small diesel once out of 2nd gear.
-
Living with it
Reliability
I do 24k per year - use the best oil and it just goes on & on & on.
Image
Who cares at 65mpg?
Comfort
Front seats have no lumber support - buy one or end up with a glass back.
-
Security and Service
Security
Mine came fitted with an immobiliser - no problem with scum yet!
Service
Pricey genuine bits compared to, say, a Ford Fiesta.
-
Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Minor oil leak - garage puzzled and want engine out, but I'll live with it untill it gets worse.
Other
Watch out for failing brake vacuum pump on diesels - scary!
