Peugeot 106 1.6 Rallye 3d (1997/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
For a very good S2 106 Rallye with low mileage, you would be looking at spending between £3500- 4000 still, there is a real enthusiast following to these cars now, and however expensive, you wont get more smiles per mile.
Costs
You can spend little and get a bad one or spend more and get a very good example, entirely up to you, you get what you pay for.

On the road
Driving
Awesome car to drive, whether it be to the shop or a weekend drive, it will always make you smile.
Performance
Very, very good, on a B road there is not a lot that will keep up with you in a 106 Rallye, even 300bhp Impreza's will struggle with the high revving and agile 106 Rallye.

Living with it
Reliability
no problems yet (touch wood)
Image
small shopping car to those no in the know, very respected to people who are in the know...www.106rallye.co.uk
Comfort
Not the most comfortable car in the world to be honest, but its not meant to be, they are built for raw fun.

Security and Service
Security
Security is poor and lacking, I have central locking and a factory immobiliser, as well as a Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser, they are very easy to break into and steal otherwise.
Service
service is extremely poor with peugeot, when they damaged my car head office didnt want to know and claimed dealers are franchised and its nothing to do with them...parts are expensive, although unbranded spares are cheap

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Strong and reliable if maintained to a high standard, rocker gaskets are poor and often leak and need replacing, very easy to work on though.
Other
Interior on the Rallye wears quickly and nearly every Rallye seat I have seen has sunk on the bolsters.
