Economy
Value
Bought it for just short of £4000 in 2001. Good value, condition was immaculate.
Costs
Still working out the MPG, but currently costs £32 to fill at 78.9p p/l. And I do push it a fair bit, roughly lasts a week with daily (short) motorway commuting of speeds up to 90mph.

On the road
Driving
Handling is superb, it just sticks to the road. Be aware that changing the wheels to a bigger size (even by just one inch) does have quite a dramatic effect. Other than that, a great car to 'point and shoot'.
Performance
Like with most 106s, it works best around the 3000/4000rpm region. Suprisingly nippy when you get your put down at the lights.

Living with it
Reliability
Won't start on occasions. When it happens it usually works on the third time of trying. Very odd problem which I know is common yet garages find very hard to track down/replicate.
Image
Gorgeous, especially with some 15" alloys. Very good looking model compared with other 106s. Still love looking out the window at it now and I've had it a couple of years.
Comfort
Perfect really for such a small car. Rear legroom could be better but lets be honest, it is a 3 door. Seats are extremely comfy, even on long journeys. Let down by pedals being too close together but I guess you get used to it.

Security and Service
Security
It's been broken into once and comes with only an immobiliser, no alarm. Suggest you fit one. Passenger door is a liability with no proper internal lock shielding. It's worth your while getting it de-locked.
Service
Haven't had it serviced with dealer local - garage instead.

Wont start on occasions. Possibly an electrical fault. Can't track it down.
