Summary
What does this car say about you?
Should have stayed with what we had. Oh boy are we paying the price for it now. It costs more in OIL than it does in petrol and is very flimsily made unlike our Peugeot 306 that was produced in 1995 and is as solid as a rock - over 100,000 miles, very reliable and still good to drive.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They are sympathetic to our faces but afterwards they laugh at us for not "practicing what we preach" - buying Volkswagens.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Too poorly made and the experience has put us off BIG TIME. Cannot afford to change it and we cannot sell such an unreliable and very poor vehicle to a unwitting member of the public. Our concience would not let us.
What are you likely to buy next?
A vw up.

Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,500
When did you buy the car?
June 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
We THOUGHT we did as they replaced the spare wheel with a completely new one and, to be fair, they would have no knowledge of what a rogue the car really is.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The low road tax band and the size, being easy to park.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent. Could not do enough for us.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Oh yes! Complete front braking system, new clutch, (the car to date has done 13,000 miles, 5000 of those with the new clutch), new fuel tank as the old one "fell out", the engine "drinks" oil, a bad water leack at the back resulting in the spare wheel well and the boot filling up with water.....
What's most practical about your car?
Easier to park than our other vehicles.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
None.
