This was, within its class and its specifications, the perfect car for me. The engine is great, it does much more than you would expect from a 110 hp three cylinder engine while also using less fuel.
But apparently the downside of these "PureTech" (PSA EB) engines is that they are still too new to have good data on their life expectancy, and it is beginning to turn out that it is less than hoped for.
I absolutely recommend buying this car used, but maybe pick one with low mileage or else pay extra for a decent used-car warranty.
How reliable do you find the car?
The car ran almost entirely trouble-free for a couple of years, but from about 50k miles it appears that the engine is beginning to show serious wear, it seems doubtful if if will live to see the 100k let alone the 150k mile mark.
