Peugeot 2008 (2013 - 2019) 1.6 e-HDi Allure 5d EGC Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
We previously had a Peugeot 308 1.6 S Hdi EGC which was lacking any modern Toys, we looked at the newer 208 with EGC gearbox and then looked at the 2008 with EGC box, In Allure trim it had most of the things we were looking for i.e. Sat Nav, Cruise Control, Air Con, Faux Leather Seats, Blue Tooth and the added bonus of Park Assist. Where it scores over our earlier 308 is the higher and more comfortable drivers seating position and Zero Road Tax, although the info tainment system isn't the best around it's perfectly adequate and is much improved on the latest Models. The 1.6 diesel engine is very capable at 92 bhp and is quiet at Motorway speed and delivers OK when overtaking on A Roads, it handles twisting Country roads with ease, boot space is good but not massive and the rear Parcel Shelf was annoying until I fitted aftermarket Cords so that it lifts up when the Tailgate opens, there is no Centre Armrest but can also be remedied with an aftermarket tailor made product. Overall there is little we can fault the Car on...... good ride comfort, good economy, decent seating space, No TAX, well equipped....... only one negative the Tailgate opening could be lighter.
How reliable do you find the car?
Totally reliable so far with 6000 miles added on the original 10000 miles it had when purchased 7 months ago, passed it's first MOT without even an advise.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
it has extras of Sat Nav and Park Assist , both are a nice addition to the standard Allure spec, although not needed often where we live the Park Assist proves it's worth when looking for a space in a busy town street.About their car
