Peugeot 2008 (2013 - 2019) 1.6 e-HDi Allure 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I was looking for a car that would handle relatively high mileage - I drive 25-35,000 miles a year and normally get through a (second hand) car every two years. I found this gem at Howletts of Lavenham. It is comfortable, flexible and gives great MPG. I cannot fault the car. Despite what some have said the steering wheel doesn't impede the view of the instruments. Since the steering wheel is adjustable I can't see why that would ever be a problem.
The ambient lighting and panoramic roof are nice touches but I am more about practicality and on this the Peugeot 2008 scores top marks. Not only is the boot ample it becomes cavernous with the rear seats down. The addition of roof rails - the first time I have ever had such a feature extends the carrying capacity even further.
The engine is willing, flexible, responsive and sips fuel like an aunt enjoying a Sherry at Christmas.
Having seen the videos of the Grip Control System mated to Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons tyres it looks seriously impressive so snow, mud and even sand should not present any problems.
Overall I expect this car to provide cheap, safe, reliable motoring for the next few years.
How reliable do you find the car?
I have only just purchased so I wouldn't expect problems however I bought from a Peugeot specialist so am confident that any issues would be dealt with expeditiously.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I am blown away at how good this car is. I can't wait to try the Grip Control in the snow and mud.About their car
