Peugeot 205 Hatchback 1.6 GTi 3d (1991/H) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Great bargains for a lot less than 2 grand.
Costs
Ongoing little problems. Keep changing oil/air filters every 6,000 miles and watch cambelt.
-
On the road
Driving
A very slick and sprightly car, which urges you on to higher speeds. Great on country roads chasing motorbikes.
Performance
Only the 1.9 GTi performs better, but that is very niggly to run.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Always starts, but is temperamental.
Image
Extremely chic, with ageless looks. Doesn't take itself as seriously as a BMW, and stands out more than a Golf.
Comfort
Very comfortable, if a little dated, with tired upholstery.
-
Security and Service
Security
Should have an immobilser.
Service
Small workshops are best, or have a go yourself.
