Peugeot 205 Hatchback 1.8 D Trio 3d (94) (1994/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Was bout for 800 and I think it is worth every penny.
Costs
Only had to replace usual wear and tear bits like brake pads and a few suspension bushes.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles superbly. Excellent braking capability.
Performance
Very good for a 1.8D. Tops out at 110mph, quite quick 0-60 too.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Never failed to start, always done what I wanted when I wanted.
Image
Mine is modified, so it looks like a GTi, so it looks aggressive.
Comfort
The seats are good. You sit in them rather than on them, perfect for hugging around corners.
-
Security and Service
Security
Not ever been broken into. Fitted with an alarm and immobiliser
Service
I always use second-hand parts or aftermarket parts, usually cheaper, but just as good.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Not smokey, not noisey, smooth runner, good starter.
Other
Water in diesel light occasionally flashes. Got to watch out for worn anti-roll bar bushes, makes a clunk over speedbumps, not a major job to repair though.
