Peugeot 205 Hatchback 1.8 STDT 3d (1993/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
A bargain. £1900 for a real gem in June 2001.
Costs
Pricey dealers, but any local outfit can work on them safely.
-
On the road
Driving
A real hoot on the open road. Slightly rattley at high speed on motorways, though.
Performance
You can't fault it. 50 MPG on cruises and a spritely engine.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Up to 100,000 miles now (15,000 in 7 months) and no problems yet.
Image
Looks like a Gti, and people love it.
Comfort
Sports seats and road noise can be annoying on long motorway journeys.
-
Security and Service
Security
The locks are made out of the equivalent of wood!
Service
Good service, if very pricey.
